Hi! My name is Allison and I’m so glad you’re here. Food is truly my love language. Whether it’s a special date night in for my husband, or a friend going through a hard time, or a happy time – making food for someone or something specific makes me the happiest.
One of the greatest compliments I’ve ever received was, “Thank you for always feeding me. Even in my own house.”
I love to know where my food comes from and what’s in it. Food can be such a beautiful artistic expression, and I love to enjoy it in its purest form. This leads to a lot of organic, local, clean eating.
I grew up eating delectable food from both of my grandmothers. My nana is a Roman catholic from outside of Boston and her parents came over from Italy on a ship, so she makes Italian cuisine that she learned from her mother and 4 older sisters. My Memaw is a Southern Baptist from South Carolina and she makes the most delicious southern soul food and she always cooked for a crowd. Both of my grandmothers made special food for me as a little girl and spoiled me with my favorite meals. Food is my passion I am delighted to be sharing it with you.
A bit more about me…
I’m a homegrown Virginia girl.
I have been married to my Michigander husband since 2011.
We had Lyla in 2013 and Clark in 2016.
Having kids really opened my eyes and made me transition from just loving delicious food to appreciating where food comes from and how it’s made. This curiosity grew throughout my pregnancy and as I breastfed and first fed my daughter solid foods. I felt a massive responsibility to provide my child with clean, nutritious food while avoiding toxins and chemicals. I have also slowly transitioned to natural household products for my family as well.
